The Science of Saving: Pensions

December 7, 2011

A policy discussion paper to accompany the publication of Who Saves for Retirement?.

Who Saves for Retirement? was undertaken with the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) at the University of Essex, and made possible by the support of Prudential.

This discussion paper from the Strategic Society Centre explores some of the policy implications of the findings of the Who Saves for Retirement?.

Particular themes explored include: employer contributions and UK 2012 pension reforms; efforts to integrate pension policy and savings policy; and how government can make the best use of existing incentives to save for retirement.
