The Commission on Funding Care and Support, chaired by the Oxford economist Andrew Dilnot, is undertaking a review for the government of how to fund long-term care. In the wake of the last provider exiting the pre-funded long-term care insurance market citing a lack of demand, attention has turned to the remaining active insurance market for funding care – immediate needs annuities.
